Wallace
Prospect Heights’ newest wine bar, Wallace, comes from the team behind Black Mountain Wine House but takes their expertise in a more refined direction. The wood-paneled space has a handful of seats and a full bar that leads out to a shady backyard. Pair all of that with Wallace’s snack-focused menu and an edited cocktail list that for a perfect spot for summer evening hangs. Open for walk-ins only 7 days a week at 663 Vanderbilt Ave.
Last Crumb
After building a cult following online, Last Crumb just opened their first-ever brick-and-mortar location in Williamsburg at 144 N. 8th st. We’re excited to try the extremely popular everything-but-the-candles-birthday-cake-cookie sitting by the water in Marsha P Johnson Park. Oh, and the first 100 customers today and tomorrow get a free cookie!
Despite being one of our favorite neighborhoods in all of Brooklyn, we last wrote about our Greenpoint favorites in 2022 and so much has changed in the neighborhood since. From the closing of a beloved bar to the opening of one of NYC’s greatest tacos, Greenpoint is a constant state of flux. Meet Nathalie, a Mexican multimedia artist, creative director, and founder living in Brooklyn, NY. Working across photography, painting, craftsmanship, and design, Nathalie approaches creation as both a complex and liberating process, one rooted in ephemerality, freedom, and a deep connection to emotion. She is the founder of Odissea, a jewelry brand inspired by the ever-changing forms of natural shells. Nathalie’s jewelry is crafted between Taxco and Mexico City in close collaboration with master artisans whose silversmithing techniques have been passed down through generations. These partnerships bring Nathalie’s designs to life, merging contemporary sensibility with ancestral craftsmanship.
