This week we’re featuring three new coffee shops, highlighting the coolest vintage shopping pop-ups, sharing about wine & pizza pop-ups, and introducing you to our cool new friend: Anna Sheffield.

Remi Flower & Coffee

Along a relatively quiet stretch of Park Avenue South (at least on weekends) there’s a new cafe in town…and it’s also a flower shop. Remi Flower & Coffee just opened their newest location combining hand-tied arrangements and hand-poured latte art. We love the serene rock-garden inspired back seating area for a little mid-day journaling over a strawberry matcha before treating yourself to some flowers on the way out! Open seven days per week at 425 Park Ave S.

Ants Coffee

Speaking of new locations, Brooklyn coffee shop Ants just announced the soft opening of their second cafe, this time around in Greenpoint. Located at 718 Lorimer St, the new location will be serving up the same great coffee alongside alfajores from 34 South. The quaint and modern shop is going to make a great addition to the neighborhood, just in time for sunny days in McCarren Park.

27 Cafe

Closing out our little coffee shop round up is 27 Cafe - the newest addition to the upstate coffee scene. This cafe/listening bar in the town of Catskill gives the serene vibe of an ultra-cool Copenhagen coffee shop just minutes away from the mountains. Whether starting your day with a fresh pour over, or winding down in the early afternoon with a glass of wine, 27 is where we’re most excited to relax next time we take a trip upstate.

This Friday & Saturday at Ailey Citigroup Theater, 21 dancers will perform “NEXT: New Voices, Shared Stories,” Accent Dance NYC's second annual spring program at the iconic venue. The evening features three works commissioned through the company’s NEXT program, which supports early-career choreographers with funding, mentorship, and performance opportunities, alongside a work by renowned Cuban choreographer Pedro Ruiz. The show spotlights three emerging choreographers: Danielle Diniz, Will Ervin, Miaotian Sun, at a moment when their careers are on the rise, and makes their work accessible to New Yorkers with tickets starting at $25 that include performance and Q+A with the choreographers (tonight) and performance and reception (tomorrow).

Matcha Madness with City Harvest

This March, New York City’s café and restaurant scene is brewing up ways to support neighbors in need. Matcha Madness, a fundraising campaign hosted by City Harvest, invites local businesses and matcha lovers to take part in a community-centered effort to help support food rescue efforts throughout the city. For the full month of March, cafés, bakeries, and restaurants in the city will donate a portion of proceeds from specialty matcha drinks and matcha-inspired menu items sold to City Harvest’s ongoing hunger-relief programs. Keep an eye out for all of your favorite small businesses participating!

Meet Anna, a celebrated jewelry designer of 25 years and owner of her namesake NYC-based brand, Anna Sheffield Jewelry. Anna is perhaps best known for propelling the alternative bridal movement - pioneering nesting bands, use of unconventional gems, and new silhouettes that helped shape what’s now a mainstream market segment. Her launch into the home world, with her debut Objects, The Ver Series, marks Anna’s category expansion beyond fine jewelry. The collection includes weighty sculptural, decorative, and ritual objects designed to elevate the everyday with a sensory element. Each piece is beautifully handcrafted (cast from clay) and in limited editions, from bronze vessels and lapis lazuli dishes to malachite and jasper works and tactile bells, inviting a sense of intention and beauty into the spaces we live in.
